Our Head Chef joins The Elite Few

In December 2005 our Head Chef, Glenn Gatland was invited by the Master Chefs of Great Britain to become a member. He was invited as a result of having been recognised by the food Guides of Britain for a period of 10 years. He was first recognised by the 'Which? Good Food Guide' for his input and efforts at a local restaurant in 1995 and has remained associated with this guide and many others since then.

As a Master Chef of Great Britain, Glenn has chosen to put something back into the industry and has been teaching Year 10 pupils at a local school for the past year. The children are 14-15 years of age and have taken very well to Glenn's relaxed methods of teaching. His main aim is to encourage a new generation of Chefs to follow in his footsteps and to learn the importance of using fresh ingredients and correct cooking methods.

And the proof of the pudding is that two of his pupils from 2005/ 2006 gained 1st and 2nd places at an inter-schools cookery competition involving six schools.
