Horse riding Penewin is a friendly family run BHS association approved riding school set in the beautiful Cornish countryside with horses and ponies for all ages and abilities. One hour lessons or hacks are available depending on experience.
TennisThe Well House has its own professional size tennis court, with spectacular views. Recently refurbished, our tennis court is now available for our guests use. Private Tennis Breaks and Weekends can also be arranged for twos or fours.
Clay Pigeon Shooting Lower Lake Shooting is approximately 10 minutes from The Well House. They can arrange everything you need, whether you are experienced or a novice.
GolfThe Well House is situated in close proximity to Devon and Cornwall making it within easy reach of some of the finest courses around. St Mellion International, once home to the Benson & Hedges Open, is just a 15 minute drive away.
FishingFreshwater fishing, sea angling and fly fishing are all possible and can be arranged. We are suitated just 20 miles from the Baribcan in Plymouth where you can spend a day deep sea fishing, or perhaps something more quiet at one of the nearby lakes.
SailingAn RYA approved centre run by South West Lakes Trust with National Governing Body qualified instructors. Whatever your age, beginner to advanced, you will get a 2 hour session of fun with top class equipment. The centre is situated at Siblyback - a stunning Bodmin Moor reservoir with excellent facilities.
Walking Choose your own route or join one from a selection of fascinating walks lasting approx 2 hours finishing at a pub for lunch guided by Lynn Goold an expert who specialises in leading walks and giving illustrated talks about Daphne du Maurier's Cornwall.
CyclingHire quality mountain bikes for the day and cycle the famous Camel Trail. A disused railway line that runs down the beautiful Camel Valley ending up at the picturesque fishing village of Padstow.
Dry SkiingPlymouth Ski Centre is open daily and offers skiers, snowboarders and bladers of all levels the facilities to practice and learn new skills. From lessons to open practice the centre offers a wide variety of activities for everyone to enjoy.
