Celebrate Christmas 2010 at The Well House - A Traditional Festive 3 Night Break with FREE fourth night accommodation!

What could be better than spending a relaxing Christmas in a delightful Cornish manor house with picture book gardens, ponds and a gentle stream fed by a world famous Holy Well winding its way into the stunning Looe Valley.  A magical country hideaway where you can really relax and unwind. On the menu - innovative festive food created by our own Master Chef of Great Britain, sensational wines and a feast of fun to enjoy with your family and friends in a relaxed, low key atmosphere.

 

This is somewhere different, somewhere special. The ambience of a private country manor house is purposely retained at The Well House. You will find no room numbers on the doors, no racks of tourist leaflets in the hall and no plastic credit card signs. What you will find however is luxury and comfort together with a friendly, yet discreet, service which is second to none. In fact, we’d like you to think of it as home.We are quietly tucked away, just off the beaten tourist track, yet not far from the picturesque fishing ports of Looe, Polperro and Fowey. We’re also within easy driving distance of both the rugged moors and stunning coastal walks.

Cuisine is definitely to the fore here. We are the only country house hotel in Cornwall with a 3 AA Rosette Restaurant - so you and your family are guaranteed the very highest culinary standards available.

Log fires, excellent service with a smile and festive fine dining menus created by our own Master Chef and his talented team. This will add an almost transcendental tranquillity to your Christmas, giving you a delicious inner calm. We call it the ‘Well House-being’, you’ll call it a real Christmas treat!

Your break will include a superb tasting menu on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day, a Champagne reception and five course lunch on Christmas Day, with a buffet provided in the evening. Additionally you can expect other Christmas favourites including mince pies, mulled wine, Christmas cake - and hopefully snow!.

 

Christmas Eve – Friday 24th December

Check-in any time from 2pm onwards and enjoy mulled wine and mince pies upon your arrival.

Spend the afternoon settling in, getting to know fellow guests or just relaxing in front of a blazing log fire. Try a pot of tea from our comprehensive range of the World’s finest, together with home made Shortbread and Fairing biscuits.

Dinner in the evening will be a wonderful six course taster menu to set the scene.

 

Christmas Day – Saturday 25th December

Wake up to breakfast from our extensive menu ….Full English, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon or maybe just a Continental, there’s plenty of food to be had later!

Perhaps go for a stroll around the gardens or down to the coast or just sit and relax by the fire.

Enjoy a five course Christmas Lunch preceded by Champagne and home made Canapés.

In the evening, there’s an informal buffet supper, just in case you’re still hungry!

 

Boxing Day – Sunday 26th December

Start the day with a traditional full English breakfast or something lighter from our extensive menu. Then, whether you want to read your book in front of the open fire or explore the surrounding area,… the rest of the day is yours to do with as you please. We shall be serving a cosy late afternoon Cornish Cream Tea with lashings of home made jam and clotted cream and

another delicious six course taster menu in the evening

 

The day after Boxing Day - Monday 27th December - Free accommodation with our compliments

 

After a leisurely breakfast, time for fond farewells and the journey home. Or why not stay a while longer? There’s plenty to see and do nearby, or simply relax and enjoy that ‘Well House-being’ for the remainder of your stay. And as a Christmas present from us, you may stay the night, completely free of charge with breakfast the next morning also with our compliments, all we ask in return is that you eat in our restaurant in the evening, the cost of which will be charged to your account.
